Irish wolfhounds
Tall shaggy canines
Irish wolfhounds are a breed of sighthound originally developed in Ireland for hunting wolves and elk.
They are among the tallest of all dog breeds, with males often exceeding 32 inches at the shoulder.
Despite their imposing size, they're known for a gentle, patient temperament: Irish wolfhounds make surprisingly calm house dogs.
