Halston is the professional name of Roy Halston Frowick (1932–1990), an American fashion designer who became one of the most influential figures in 1970s fashion.
He rose to prominence designing hats, including the pillbox hat worn by Jacqueline Kennedy at the 1961 inauguration, before building a fashion empire known for minimalist, glamorous designs.
His name became synonymous with Studio 54 nightlife and celebrity culture.
The documentary explored Halston's meteoric rise and fall.
