Freaks and Geeks
Cult high-school series
Freaks and Geeks is an American television series that aired in 1999–2000, set in a Michigan high school in the early 1980s.
The show followed two groups of social outcasts—the rebellious "freaks" and the awkward "geeks"—and became a cult classic despite its single-season run.
It launched the careers of several actors and is credited with pioneering a more naturalistic style of teen drama: Freaks and Geeks was ahead of its time.
