DC jack
Barrel connector socket
A DC jack is the socket on an electronic device where the power adapter plugs in.
Laptops, routers, and other devices that run on direct current have DC jacks to receive power from wall adapters that convert household AC to the appropriate DC voltage.
A loose or damaged DC jack is a common repair issue: The laptop won't charge—probably a bad DC jack.
