Cuban rebels
Anti-Batista guerrilla forces
Cuban rebels refers to armed insurgents who fought against Cuban governments, most famously the guerrilla forces led by Fidel Castro and Che Guevara that overthrew the Batista regime in 1959.
The term appears in historical accounts of the Cuban Revolution: Cuban rebels descended from the Sierra Maestra mountains.
It may also describe earlier independence fighters against Spanish colonial rule or later anti-Castro groups.
