Brat Pack

Young Hollywood circle

Brat Pack was a media nickname for a group of young Hollywood actors who frequently appeared together in films during the 1980s, including Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe, Molly Ringwald, and Demi Moore.

The term, coined in a 1985 magazine article, plays on the Rat Pack of the 1960s while adding the suggestion of bratty youth.

It now serves as a template for any clique of young celebrities in a particular field: the literary brat pack.
