Big Valley is a western television series that aired from 1965 to 1969, following the wealthy Barkley family on their California ranch.
The show starred Barbara Stanwyck as the widowed matriarch Victoria Barkley.
More generally, a big valley is simply a large valley—a broad, low-lying area between mountains or hills.
