Alito
Samuel Alito is an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court, appointed by George W.
Bush in 2006.
He is known as one of the Court's most reliably conservative members, authoring the majority opinion in *Dobbs v.
Jackson* (2022), which overturned *Roe v.
Wade*.
His name often appears in discussions of the Court's rightward shift: The Alito opinion sparked nationwide protests.
