AI artists
Machine-generated image makers
AI artists are people who use artificial intelligence tools to create visual art, music, or other creative works.
The term encompasses those who prompt image generators, train custom models, or incorporate AI into broader artistic practice.
Some traditionalists dispute whether the term artist applies when algorithms do much of the execution, but the label has stuck.
The field raises ongoing questions about authorship, creativity, and the nature of art itself.
