vision impaired

Cannot see well

Vision impaired describes someone with significant sight loss that cannot be fully corrected with glasses or contact lenses.

The term is often preferred over "blind" when some useful vision remains: services for vision impaired students, vision impaired accessibility features.

It functions both as an adjective and as a noun referring to people collectively: the vision impaired.
