vetoed bills
Legislation struck down
Vetoed bills are proposed laws that have been rejected by an executive—typically a president or governor—after passing through a legislature.
A bill becomes a vetoed bill when the executive formally refuses to sign it into law: The president's vetoed bills included measures on immigration and spending.
Some vetoed bills can be revived if the legislature overrides the veto with a supermajority vote.
