unrebellious
Not prone to defiance
Unrebellious describes someone who doesn't resist authority or challenge established rules—compliant, docile, accepting of the status quo.
The word usually appears when rebellion might be expected but is absent: an unrebellious teenager, surprisingly unrebellious citizens under the new regime.
It often carries a faint note of disappointment or surprise.
