unplugged set
No amplifiers performance
An unplugged set is a musical performance using acoustic instruments rather than electric amplification.
The term gained currency after MTV's *Unplugged* series in the late 1980s, where rock and pop artists performed stripped-down versions of their songs: The band did an unplugged set at the coffee shop.
The format emphasizes intimacy and vocal clarity over volume.
