unjoin

Sever the connection

To unjoin is to separate things that were previously joined or connected.

The word appears most often in computing and online contexts—you might unjoin a device from a network, unjoin a meeting, or unjoin a group you no longer wish to belong to: I unjoined the server after the drama started.

Outside technical use, it sounds awkward; *separate* or *disconnect* usually serve better.
