unassignable
Impossible to delegate
Unassignable describes something that cannot be transferred, delegated, or allocated to another party.
Legal contracts often include unassignable clauses preventing rights from being handed off: The lease is unassignable without landlord approval.
In computing, an unassignable variable cannot receive a new value.
The word also applies to tasks or roles that resist delegation: Some responsibilities are simply unassignable.
