transfer bench
Tub entry aid
A transfer bench is a long seat that spans the edge of a bathtub, with two legs inside the tub and two outside.
It allows someone with limited mobility to sit down outside the tub and slide across into the bathing area, rather than stepping over the tub wall: After her hip surgery, she used a transfer bench to shower safely.
