ticket draw
Random winner picking
A ticket draw is a lottery-style selection where winners are chosen randomly from a pool of ticket holders.
The term appears in contexts ranging from raffles to sports event access, where demand exceeds supply: We entered the ticket draw for World Cup finals.
In some regions, particularly Britain and Australia, it describes any prize drawing where numbered tickets determine winners.
