tag teaming
Switching in partners
Tag teaming is two people working together in alternating turns, from professional wrestling where partners take turns in the ring by slapping hands.
The term extends to any coordinated effort where people swap in and out: The parents were tag teaming—one watched the kids while the other napped.
It can describe two people jointly confronting someone or, in sexual slang, two partners taking turns with a third.
