A stuffed burger is a hamburger patty with fillings sealed inside the meat rather than placed on top as toppings.
Cheese is the most common filling—sometimes called a Jucy Lucy—but bacon, jalapeños, mushrooms, or other ingredients work too.
The technique keeps fillings from falling off and creates a molten center: The cheese oozed out when I bit into the stuffed burger.
