sodium light
Amber street illumination
Sodium light is the distinctive yellow-orange glow produced by electric lamps that use sodium vapor.
Sodium streetlights were once ubiquitous, casting their monochromatic light over highways and parking lots: The sodium light gave everything a sickly yellow cast.
The term also describes any illumination with that characteristic color.
