show out

Display with confidence

Show out means to display oneself impressively, often with flamboyance or exceptional performance.

In African American Vernacular English, it typically describes someone performing at their best or showing off their skills: He really showed out at the game last night.

It can also mean to act up or behave dramatically for attention: Don't show out in front of company.
