second guessed

Reconsidered a choice

Second-guessed is the past tense of second-guess, meaning to criticize or question a decision after the fact: The coach was second-guessed for not calling a timeout.

It also means to anticipate someone's actions or thoughts: She second-guessed his every move.

The implication is often that hindsight makes criticism easier than the original decision was.
