schlepper

One who drags

A schlepper is someone who lugs things around or drags themselves from place to place—a carrier of burdens, often weary or unglamorous.

From Yiddish, the word can describe a delivery person or errand-runner, but more often carries a dismissive tone: a nobody, a loser, someone undistinguished.

I'm just a schlepper—I carry the equipment while the talent performs.
