reverse commutes
Against traffic driving
A reverse commute is travel in the opposite direction from the main flow of traffic—typically from a city outward to suburbs or exurbs during morning rush hour, returning inward in the evening.
The term arose as more jobs moved to suburban office parks while workers remained in urban cores: My reverse commute means I never hit traffic.
