Resource packs are downloadable modifications that change the appearance or sounds of a video game without altering gameplay mechanics.
The term is most associated with Minecraft, where resource packs replace default textures, fonts, music, and sound effects: I installed a resource pack that makes everything look medieval.
Unlike mods, resource packs are purely cosmetic.
