replow
Turn soil twice
To replow is to plow again—turning over soil that has already been plowed, typically to break up clods, incorporate amendments, or prepare for a new planting: We'll need to replow the north field after the rains.
The term applies literally to agriculture and figuratively to reworking familiar ground: The committee replowed the same arguments from last year's meeting.
