reindictment
Second criminal accusation
Reindictment is the act of indicting someone again, typically after an earlier indictment was dismissed or overturned on procedural grounds: The prosecutor sought reindictment after the judge threw out the original charges.
The grand jury issues a new indictment, often with revised or additional charges.
