radar detection
Finding radio echoes
Radar detection is the use of equipment to identify radar signals, typically to alert drivers to police speed-monitoring devices.
A radar detector picks up electromagnetic emissions from speed guns, giving drivers time to slow down before being clocked: He got a radar detector to avoid speeding tickets.
Illegal in some jurisdictions.
