psychological safety
Risk-free speaking environment
Psychological safety is a sense of trust within a group that members won't be punished or humiliated for speaking up with questions, concerns, or mistakes.
The term appears most often in workplace and team contexts: The manager worked to create psychological safety so employees would share problems early.
Without it, people self-censor and problems fester.
