prayer hands
Palms pressed together
Prayer hands is a gesture where the palms are pressed together with fingers pointing upward, held at chest level—the traditional posture for Christian prayer.
The term often refers to the emoji depicting this gesture, which is used to express gratitude, hope, pleading, or a request: Prayer hands for good weather tomorrow.
Despite its name, the emoji is also interpreted as a high-five or simply as "please" and "thank you."
