plastic dolls

Plastic dolls are toy figures made from molded plastic, typically representing human forms for children's play.

The category includes fashion dolls like Barbie, baby dolls, and action figures.

Mass production made plastic dolls affordable and ubiquitous from the mid-20th century onward: She had a collection of plastic dolls from the 1960s.

The phrase can carry dismissive connotations when applied to people, suggesting artificiality or lack of depth.
