pillowing
Resting head upon
Pillowing describes something resting softly like a head on a pillow, or something swelling and billowing into pillow-like shapes.
Hair pillowing on a bed, clouds pillowing across the sky, fabric pillowing around a figure—all suggest soft, cushioned fullness.
Her dark hair was pillowing on the white sheets.
In 3D printing, pillowing refers to a surface defect where the top layer bulges unevenly.
