picture discs
Decorated record albums
Picture discs are vinyl records with images printed or embedded in the playing surface rather than standard black vinyl.
Popular as collectibles and promotional items, they typically feature album artwork, band photos, or decorative designs visible through the translucent grooves.
Audio quality is usually inferior to conventional pressings: The picture disc looks amazing but sounds a bit thin.
