perfect tenses
Have, had, will-have
Perfect tenses are verb forms that express completed action or a state resulting from completed action.
English has three: present perfect (I have eaten), past perfect (I had eaten), and future perfect (I will have eaten).
Each connects a completed action to a reference point in time—the present, a past moment, or a future moment.
The name comes from Latin *perfectus*, meaning completed.
