panel trucks
Boxy cargo vehicles
A panel truck is a small enclosed delivery truck with solid sides instead of windows, typically used by tradespeople and delivery services.
The cargo area is separated from the cab and has rear or side doors for loading.
The name comes from the flat panels forming the sides.
Panel trucks were common through the mid-20th century; the type is now usually called a cargo van.
