paganize
Turn from Christianity
To paganize is to make pagan—to convert someone from an established religion (usually Christianity) to pagan beliefs, or to give something pagan characteristics.
The word appears most often in historical or religious contexts: The early church feared that folk customs would paganize Christian worship.
The reverse process is Christianize.
