Egg-shaped dining surface
An oval table is a table with an elliptical top—rounded like a circle but elongated.
Oval tables often serve as dining tables or conference tables, offering the sociability of a round table while accommodating more seats: The family gathered around the oval table for Thanksgiving.
The Oval Office takes its name from its distinctive shape.
