oni mask
Japanese demon guise
An oni mask is a Japanese decorative mask depicting an oni—a demon or ogre from Japanese folklore, typically shown with horns, wild eyes, and a fierce grimace.
These masks appear in traditional theater, festivals, and as wall decorations.
They've become popular in tattoo art and streetwear, where the menacing imagery suggests strength or rebelliousness: He got an oni mask tattooed on his shoulder.
