nonscaled
Lacking reptilian covering
Nonscaled describes something that lacks scales—the overlapping plates covering fish, reptiles, and certain other animals.
A nonscaled fish like a catfish has smooth or leathery skin instead.
The term also applies in technical contexts to measurements or graphics that aren't proportionally sized: a nonscaled diagram.
