noise insulation
Blocks unwanted sounds
Noise insulation is material or construction designed to reduce sound transmission between spaces.
Buildings use noise insulation in walls, floors, and ceilings to block outside traffic sounds or prevent neighbors from hearing each other: The apartment's noise insulation was so poor we could hear every argument next door.
