naval museums
Seafaring history collections
Naval museums are institutions dedicated to preserving and displaying maritime military history—warships, submarines, naval artifacts, and documents.
Many feature decommissioned vessels visitors can board: The naval museum has a restored World War II destroyer.
They document naval warfare, seamanship, and the lives of sailors across different eras.
