muddy buddies
Powdered sugar snack
Muddy buddies is a sweet snack made by coating bite-sized cereal (typically Chex) in melted chocolate and peanut butter, then tossing the mixture in powdered sugar.
The name comes from the clumpy, dirt-like appearance.
Also called puppy chow, particularly in the Midwest: We made muddy buddies for the party.
