mud wrestlers
Dirty sport participants
Mud wrestlers are performers who wrestle in a pit of mud, typically as entertainment rather than competitive sport.
The spectacle emerged in bars and clubs, often featuring women in revealing attire: The bar advertised mud wrestlers on Saturday nights.
The term sometimes appears figuratively for people engaged in messy, undignified conflict.
