mixed lighting
Multiple light sources
Mixed lighting refers to a scene illuminated by light sources of different color temperatures—typically warm tungsten bulbs combined with cool daylight or fluorescent fixtures.
Photographers and cinematographers must balance these competing sources to avoid unnatural color casts: The mixed lighting in the office made white balance a nightmare.
The term also applies to combining natural and artificial light in a single shot.
