minimarts
Small convenience shops
Minimarts are small convenience stores offering a limited selection of groceries, snacks, beverages, and household essentials.
They emphasize quick access over variety—you stop at a minimart for milk or cigarettes, not a full shopping trip.
The term combines mini and mart, sometimes written as two words or hyphenated: The gas station has a minimart attached.
