mini pill
Daily hormonal contraceptive
A mini pill is an oral contraceptive containing only progestin, without the estrogen found in standard birth control pills.
It's prescribed for women who can't tolerate estrogen or are breastfeeding.
The mini pill requires stricter timing—taken at the same hour daily—to maintain effectiveness.
