lucky devils
Enviously blessed ones
Lucky devils is an exclamation acknowledging someone else's good fortune, often with a tinge of envy: They're off to Hawaii for two weeks—lucky devils!
The phrase treats luck as something almost supernatural, as if the fortunate parties had struck a deal with mischievous forces.
It's affectionate rather than bitter.
