laser thermometer
Contactless heat measurer
A laser thermometer is a device that measures temperature from a distance by detecting infrared radiation emitted by a surface.
The laser serves only to aim—the actual measurement uses an infrared sensor.
Also called an infrared thermometer or temperature gun: She pointed the laser thermometer at his forehead.
