interpenetrated
Passed through each other
Interpenetrated means mutually penetrated or permeated—two or more things passing into and through each other.
The term appears in philosophy, physics, and literary criticism to describe entities that occupy the same space or thoroughly suffuse one another: Their lives had become so interpenetrated that neither could imagine existing alone.
Unlike simple mixing, interpenetration suggests complete mutual infusion.
