incipience
State of beginning
Incipience is the state of beginning or coming into being—the earliest stage of something's development.
The word captures that moment when something is just starting to emerge but hasn't fully formed: the incipience of a new artistic movement, detecting the incipience of disease.
The adjective incipient is more common.
